3 important choices for life

When we were born, we already have a family that was assigned to us. We cannot choose who our parents, grandparents, siblings, or relatives will be. However, some close people will be part of our life, and yes, that it is within our power to choose.

After a certain time, we may become more aware of ourselves, and seek to know ourselves a little more. This facilitates our living experience in this world. After all, when we were born, we did not receive a manual to learn to live here, right? So, identify what your personality profile is, what you like to do, what you do not like, what annoys you, what excites you, and what encourages you. While it is impossible for us to be better than everyone else at everything, there is always something we excel at, and if that's what you like to do, look to tap into that skill! On the other hand, identify the points you would like to change about yourself. Seek to know the origins of the behaviors you want to change, and study to find the best ways for you to improve or change something you want. The first big change in the world starts with ourselves, and you are the protagonist of your life!

2- Who will you share your life with?

It is a fact that the location where we live can predict which people we will have more contact with, and therefore, with whom we will be more likely to relate. However, if you want to share your life with someone, this is a very important decision! It is evident that attraction and convenience can be factors that play a role here, for example. These reasons are relevant; however, they are not what keeps us together through the long journey, which is life. It is important to remember that we are not perfect and neither are other people. However, sharing the same values and being partners with each other are important factors in this choice. Remember that it is not our spouse's duty to make us happy and vice versa. We are responsible for our happiness because it comes from within us! However, never accept to live with someone who physically attacks you, destroys your dreams or discourages you, or puts you down. Remember that you are amazing and do not ever let anyone make you doubt that.

3- Who will you be working with?

Our co-workers can also greatly influence our choices, our mood, and even some habits. So choose the people you work with carefully. If you are an entrepreneur, for example, choose your employees carefully. You may or may not fire them if you feel it is necessary. And if you're an employee, choose carefully the company and boss you want to work with. Especially if you want to build a career there. What are the mission and values of this company? How do you feel in that environment? Do the people around you promote a welcoming space? Is there an opportunity for growth in that place? Do your coworkers respect you? You are not obligated to remain in the same company for life. If so, look for another job where you have better prospects and change as soon as possible. Your work, in addition to bringing dignity, should be something that makes you feel good, that lets you explore your potential and develop yourself. Of course, there are moments of difficulty everywhere and at times we are not very excited. However, if you are in an environment that belittles you and that does not change for a long time, it may be the moment for you to leave.
